We have delivered stands at ExceL for a number of clients at a range of shows, including Hadean at DSEI, the Manufacturers Information Hub at Digital Construction Week, and Cardiff Metropolitan University at UCAS Discovery.
Each brief was different. Our job was to turn it into a stand that looked right, worked on the show floor and was ready when the doors opened.
A stand that works from brief to build
An exhibition stand has to do more than look good in a design. It needs to fit the space, give your team room to work and be ready for visitors when the show opens.
4Matix brings design and build together. We work through the layout, materials and practical details at the planning stage, then manufacture the stand in our South Wales workshop and install it at Excel London. Whether the brief calls for a one-off statement or a stand that can be adapted for future events, we’ll shape the solution around what you need it to do.
About Excel London
Excel London is an exhibition and conference venue at Royal Victoria Dock in east London. Following its expansion, the venue has 125,000 m² of event space and hosts shows ranging from specialist trade exhibitions to large public events.
For exhibitors, the size of the venue makes planning the build just as important as designing the stand. Loading-bay access must be booked in advance, and the arrangements for building and breaking down a stand depend on the event. We use the relevant exhibitor information to plan each installation

At DSEI, 4Matix built a stand for Hadean with angular forms, illuminated graphics and space for demonstrations and meetings. The design gave the team a distinctive presence within a busy exhibition hall.
Digital Construction Week
The Manufacturers Information Hub’s first ever exhibition stand needed to make an impression. We created a bold, clear space that gave the team a confident presence and room for conversations.
UCAS Discovery
As part of our longstanding partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University, we build stands for UCAS events across the country. At Excel, the stand included a desk engraved and personalised for the university.

Do I need to be based near Excel to work with 4Matix?
No. We’re based in South Wales and work with exhibitors across the UK. We plan and build the stand before travelling to Excel for installation.
Can you create a stand that we can use at other shows?
Yes. If you exhibit more than once, we can consider reuse from the start of the design process. Our ongoing work with Cardiff Metropolitan University includes stands for UCAS events across the country.
What information do you need to discuss an Excel stand?
